We were thrilled to welcome singing star David Van Day to entertain us at Cheam Priory Centre on 27th October.David was originally a member of the Young Generation and later had hit records with pop-duo Dollar and Buck's Fizz. In 2008 he was a semi-finalist in I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here and most recently appeared in Celebrity Coach Trip on Channel 4.

Great News !! For the second year running, our Chef Hamid and his team have been awarded 5 stars for food hygene by the website Scores on the Doors

There wasn't a dry eye in the house on 29th January when Linda Thompson retired. Lin had worked here as a Carer for 8 years and we all send her our love and best wishes for the future. Click the thumbnail to see pictures from Linda's leaving party.

Great News! We have been awarded the "Scores On The Doors" website's highest accolade: 5 Stars for food hygeine.

The staff and members of Cheam Priory Centre wish everyone a very happy and peaceful 2015. To mark our first Christmas since becoming independent, we had a commemorative photograph taken of all of our 2014 staff.

We were all delighted to welcome two of Santa's little helpers to our Christmas Party 2014. Molly and Lilly joined in with dancing, singing and handing out chocolates to our members.

The 5th November 2014 marked an important milestone in the history of Cheam Priory Centre as we celebrated our own, very special, Independence Day

On 28th August we held an Egyptian themed day.

On 17th July we got together with our friends from Cloverdale and Oaksway to celebrate Home Front Day - the staff dressed up as Land Army Girls and singer Mikey treated us to a medley of hits from the wartime years. Click on the "Read More" link below to see all the fun.

We've been taking advantage of the July sunshine to get busy in our garden - we've been planting new flowers and painting the benches - let's hope it doesn't rain

There’ll be bluebirds over Cheam Priory on Thursday 17th July when members and staff celebrate Home Front Day. Planned as “an afternoon of Wartime music and memories” staff will dress up as Women’s Land Army girls and popular entertainer Mikey will lead everyone through a selection of songs from the wars. Members and their families will enjoy tea and cakes and the Centre’s door will be open to anyone who wants to pop in to join in the fun. Please telephone for more information.

In April our chef Hamid and carer Julia celebrated 10 years service at Cheam Priory Centre

On the 4th February we enjoyed an Oriental Day to mark the Chinese New Year. After lunch members enjoyed a wonderful musical show, complete with dancers and a chinese dragon.The afternoon rounded off with tea and a selection of traditional chinese food including fortune cookies.

On the Saturday 18th January 2014, Cheam Rotary Club unveiled a comemorative plaque dedicated to Alan Bone, Cheam Priory Centre's chairman from 2008 to 2013.

On the 23rd December we all enjoyed Winter Wonderland, a show featuring song and dance from all our favourite Broadway musicals.

On the 19th December members enjoyed a lovely Christmas dinner followed by the pantomine Jack and the Beanstalk.

In November we were all really pleased to receive this email from the daughter of one of our newest members.

On the 8th September we were joined by Las Vegas style show girls for our glamourous cabaret day.

On 14th August staff dressed up as 1920s Bathing Belles for our beach themed day.We had a clown, ice creams, and a Punch & Judy show.

On 16th July everyone enjoyed a Hawaiian theme day. Aloha, fruit cocktails all round.

On 10th we took a Duck Tour sightseeing trip around London in an amphibious duck vehicle. We saw all the London landmarks from The Houses of Parliament to Downing Street and from The Ritz to the headquaters of MI5.

On 16th June, Staff and members enjoyed a day out at the National Trust's beauty spot, Clandon House in Surrey.

In June, Staff and members enjoyed a day dressing up as cowboys (and cowgirls) for our Western theme day.

On 3rd May 2012 Cheam Priory Centre celebrated its 40th anniversary with a huge party with our friends from Cloverdale . Chairman Alan Bone attended alonside The Mayor and MP Paul Burstow. The theme for the day was 'the 1970s'
